- Keep images and instructions up to date
- Respond to comments and feedback from the community
- Upload new versions of your resources when you make improvements
- For large resources (30-100MB), use the dual file upload feature
- For files over 100MB, use external hosting with download links
File Upload Guidelines
Understanding file size limits and options:
- Single File (up to 50MB): Upload your resource file directly
- Dual Files (30-100MB): When your first file exceeds 30MB, you can add a second file (max 50MB each)
- Large Files (over 100MB): Host on external services (Google Drive, Dropbox, GitHub Releases) and provide download links
- Preview Images: Maximum 10MB per image, use high-quality screenshots
Tip: When using dual files, both files will be downloaded automatically when users click the download button. Name your files clearly (e.g., "MyResource_Part1.zip", "MyResource_Part2.zip") so users know they belong together.
Resource Guidelines
Quality Standards
All resources must meet these quality standards:
- Original work or properly attributed content
- Functional and tested in UEFN
- Free from malicious code or harmful content
- Properly documented with clear instructions
- Appropriate preview images and descriptions
Prohibited Content
- Plagiarized content
- Malicious code or exploits
- Inappropriate or offensive material
- Spam or misleading content
- Content that violates Epic Games' terms of service
Licensing
When uploading resources, clearly specify the license under which you're sharing your work. We recommend using standard licenses like MIT, CC BY, or CC BY-SA for maximum clarity. Always respect the licenses of any third-party assets you incorporate.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
Upload Failed
If your upload fails, check your internet connection and ensure all required fields are filled. Large files may take longer to upload. If the problem persists, try a different browser or contact support.
Can't Find My Resource
New uploads may take a few minutes to appear in search results. Make sure you've published (not just saved as draft) your resource. Check that you've added appropriate tags and categories.
File Download Not Working
Verify that your download is still valid and publicly accessible. Some file hosting services expire links after a certain period. Update your resource with a new link if needed.
